Rates & Reservations

The information contained in this section will help you to determine the rates and fees you will incur on your Alaskan Fishing adventure. Please read and understand all of the information below, as it will help you plan the perfect vacation and assure a trouble-free trip.

Guided Fly-in Day Fishing (round trip airfare from Anchorage, lunch and 8 hours fishing) $800/Person

• Prices are per person, based on double occupancy
• Single Party Bookings – add 35%
• Morning and afternoon arrival and departure times
• 2 day/1 night to 7 day/6 night packages also available – call or email for rates

• We are not open from September 7 – June 1

Prices Includes:

8 hours of guided fishing per day, rod, reel, tackle, hip boots (men’s sizes 7-13), meals, lodging, fish cleaning, vacuum packing, freezing, packing of fish and air transportation to and from Anchorage. We can recommend Anchorage based fish processing companies for smoking and/or shipment of your catch. If you do not want your fish smoked, it is less expensive to take it with you on the airlines.

Price Does Not Include

Fishing license and King Salmon Tags, alcoholic beverages (all available at the lodge), gratuities or extra expenses due to weather delays. (50% of Extra Day Rate for non-fishing, full Extra Day Rate for fishing)

Policies:

• Reservations: To confirm trips, a 50% deposit is required within two weeks of booking a date. Upon receipt of the deposit, you will be sent a confirmation on your reservation. The balance is due 30 days prior to your arrival date. Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express are accepted. We do charge a 2% credit card processing fee.
• Cancellations: Deposits will be refunded less 15% if cancellation is 90 days or more in advance and we are able to rebook the space. Northwoods Lodge maintains full liability insurance. We do recommend Travelers’ Insurance which you can obtain online or from your travel agent.
• Child and Group Rates: Children under 12 are 2/3 of stated rates. Groups of 10 or more with a stay of 6 days receive a 10% discount.
• Gratuities: If you decide that your guide and wait staff have earned a gratuity, the historical amount has run around 15% of the package price – with variation either way. Many clients prefer to present each staff member with the individual share or you may give it to the lodge manager to equally divide among the staff or distribute to your specifications. Gratuities can be placed on your credit card if you wish, but payroll taxes are deducted.
• Alcoholic Beverages: Because we have a beer and wine license, Alaska law prohibits consuming your own beer and wine on the premises. Any other alcohol you will need to bring. Mixes are available at the lodge.
• Transportation: We contract services with professional air taxi companies based in Anchorage. Our aircraft are 10- passenger DeHavilland Otters, six- passenger DeHavilland Beavers, and five –passenger Cessna 206’s. It is a 40-minute flight to Northwoods. Flights to the lodge depart at 7:30 am and 5:00 pm.Your return flight will leave the lodge at 9 am or 6 pm. When booking your return flight home, please allow two hours for possible delays due to weather, etc. Please note this is not common, but can happen. The Anchorage airport has a freezer for a minimal charge if your flight departs later that day. If you are overnighting in Anchorage, the hotels near Lake Hood often supply freezer space. We will gladly help with your Anchorage hotel reservations.
