Northwoods Lodge offers unique sightseeing add ons to your Alaska fishing vacation. The best way to see Alaska is from the air. Alaska’s vast wilderness has less than 10,000 miles of road, only by plane can we get you up close to the scenery and wildlife that you’ve always dreamed of.

Flightseeing Trips are offered through Rusts Flying Service and Trail Ridge Air.

Mt. McKinley

2 ½ – 3 hours of fantastic wilderness! Narrated sightseeing and wildlife viewing. Moose and bear commonly seen on this trip. Includes photo-stop landing at a pristine wilderness location.

Cost – $415 per person

Knik Glacier/Wildlife

1 1/2 hours. The Knik Glacier in the Chugach Mountains is 25 miles long and over 5 miles across. Alaska’s glaciers are a marvel you won’t see any other way.

Cost – $255-305 per person.

Guided Brown Bear Viewing

10 hours. Spend the day photographing some of Alaska’s famous brown bears. Get up close and personal! Lunch included. (Late July, August & September) (4 person minimum)

Cost varies for destination
$750 – $1200 per person.
